Send a file for someone to receive.
(upload a file for someone to download) How this all works... The directions below will show you how to use an FTP program to send your files (upload files) to a temporary place on our FTP server. Once the files have been successfully sent to the FTP server, you can
have someone else get the files (download files) from the FTP server and store them on their computer.Remember, the FTP server only holds your files temporarily. All files sent to the server are deleted after about 24 hours. PART ONE - Install WS_FTP (the FTP program) You will need an FTP program. If you already have an FTP program you can skip to Part Two, otherwise, follow the instructions below to download WS_FTP. 1. Click here to download a copy of WS_FTP. Save the file to your hard drive (save to disk). Please remember the name of the directory or folder that you save the file to (so you can find the file in the next step). 2.
After the file has completed downloading, locate the file on your computer and double-click on the file. When prompted, extract the file to c:\cwoftp and proceed to Part Two. PART TWO - Send Your Files (upload files)
1. Open WS_FTP by clicking on [Start] and then [Run] and type c:\cwoftp\ws_ftp32.exe (click for picture).
2. With WS_FTP open you will see a Session Profile menu with CWO already selected. Click OK to connect to our FTP Server (click for picture) Note: If CWO is not available type in the information in this picture and click OK. 3. Once connected to our server you will see two columns on your screen. The column on the left is your hard drive
(your c: drive). The column on the right is the FTP server. To send a file to the FTP server, you must find the file in the left column. You may browse through the folders on your hard drive (in the left column) by clicking on them. When you find your file, double-click on the file to send it to the FTP server. Note: Please be patient, larger files will take longer to upload.
You must tell your friend or co-worker where go go to get your file(s). Click here for Instructions on locating the file you wish to, that you are sending the file to, |
